AFRICAN COOKING WORKSHOP

The idea of having a cooking workshop at the Warsaw Kizomba Festival has been on our mind for a few years now. This year, thanks to Goncalo Silva we want to give it a try! ♥
Learn to cook some of the famous African dishes, spend some fun&quality time right before you go social dancing in the afternoon!

Here's how it works:

*** Biography of our Chef
Born in Portugal, with Angolan ascendents, followed his father footsteps (head chef of a seafood restaurant in Algarve, Portugal) in a journey of a never-ending passion for food.
At the age of 6 was baking cakes and "feeding" the neighborhood. Now he's known for always having a dish with shrimps on the cooking classes at the Bosch center of inspiration (Warsaw, Poland).
During his free time, he enjoys bringing friends home to experience new flavors or enjoying a grill under -6 degrees...

*** Why you should attend?
You will learn how to prepare traditional African delicious dishes and new techniques while having FUN!

***How does it work?
We'll start the workshop at 11.00, and some starters will be waiting for you as a perfect companion for the history behind the bites introduction.
Then we proceed to work, you'll prepare the recipes under the chef's supervision.
The ingredients are pre-measured and the recipes are tested so that even beginner cooks can prepare delicious meals.
after each dish, we sit at the table and eat what you prepared. On our table, there is always a lot of water, juice, and wine, all without limit. We finish the dessert and surprise for each participant.
Come hungry! And we hope that it will be an unforgettable experience.

***What's on the menu?
Starter: Shrimps Mozambique style
Starter/Side dish: Kachumbari (Kenya)
Main dish: Muamba de Galinha (Angola)
Side dish: Funge (Angola/S. Tomé)
Dessert: Lemon Mousse
How long does the workshop last?
We start at 11:00 and it should take up to 4 hours.

***Are drinks included?
Yes, water, juice, red and white wine. Other alcohol can be ordered at the hotel.

***Am I an amateur, can I handle it?
Yes! In general, we choose dishes that are easy to prepare so that every participant can easily repeat them at home.
The chef will help, so do not worry about your skills. You can do it!

***How many people will be at the workshop?
We'll handle a maximum of 16 participants and provide a station for every 2 people
